Ghana to Partner Nigeria in Fighting Crime
The government of Ghana says it will collaborate
with Nigeria and other neighboring countries to combat crime within the
African Continent. This was as a result of the recent criminal and terrorist
attacks within the borders of Ghana and Nigeria.
The Minister in
charge of National Security, Mr. Bryan Acheampong said in a forum dubbed “Exchange
of Good Practices on Legislation of Security Related Committees in the
National Assembly of Nigeria and Parliament of Ghana at the Kofi Annan International
Peace Keeping Centre that there was a need for government to establish cordial
relationship with neighboring countries to fight security threats in the
African sub-region.
He also added that criminal activities have evolved over
time hence the need for policy makers to be more skillful and competent in their
