Within the heart of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), a new journey is set to unfold as the ruling party holds its Super Delegates Conference on Saturday, 26 th August 2023, to reduce the 10 presidential aspirants to 5. Ebenezer Kojo Kum, the NPP Member of Parliament (MP) for Ahanta West, has denied reports that he intends to resign. In an interview on Angel TV , on Sunday, July 30, 2023, which was monitored by GhanaWeb, he refuted reports suggesting his family's involvement in pressuring the NPP leadership for his resignation. Additionally, he clarified that he has not communicated his intention to step down as an MP through a formal letter to the party. “I have not written any letter to the party that I want to resign. I have not even written one letter, let alone the two being reported. “I went to parliament on Friday. I have not sent a letter anywhere.  Whom did they say I sent the letter to?" he asked in Twi.
