Government to Deploy 8700 CCTV Cameras to Combat Crime


President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo says his government is keen on combating crime and has promised to provide all necessary resources to help the Police Service to eradicate crime in the country.

 Aside plans to employ 4, 000 more police officers to combat crime ,government aims at restructuring the police service by deploying a maximum of 8700 CCTV cameras across all districts with three command sectors in Accra, Kumasi and Tamale.

The President added that the Police Service is to ensure maintenance of these new tools and do their best to maintain law and order in the country.
