Do Not Evict Traders, Move To Flagstaff House- Prof. Gyampo

Professor Ransford Gyampo a Senior Lecturer at the University of Ghana has expressed utmost dissatisfaction on the President’s decision to evict traders from around his residence at Nima for Security reasons.

Traders around the President’s residence have been asked by National Security to vacate their premises latest by Thursday 15th March for security reasons. Although traders have been duly compensated with a sum of between Gh 3, 000 to Gh10, 000 to relocate, some traders have complained about the money being inadequate.

Professor Gyampo views the actions of the President as absurd and needless. He added that the security of the President was key and as such the President was to move to the Flagstaff House where he can be guaranteed maximum security and leave squatters and artisans to continue their trade.
