Mahama Led Government Housing Project Turns Ghost Town

Over thousand housing units built by the Mahama led government has turned ghost town over the past two years.

The Saglemi Project worth $180 million has been abandoned with ongoing projects moving at a relatively slow pace. Reports indicate that the environment of the housing unit has been surrounded by weeds with no one inhabiting the building.

The project designated to be sold to low income workers at a subsidised price has since 2016 turned ghost town. Meanwhile Senior Officials from the Works and housing ministry have refused to comment on the issue.
