NDC Disagrees with Ex-Prez Rawlings on Ghana Card

Members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have disregarded the decision of ex-President Rawlings to register for Ghana Card.

Although ex-President Rawlings expressed concerns on the use of ID cards as ideal and a means to get those living in the rural areas to secure their cards, minority in parliaments have showed dissatisfaction with his act of registering for the card when party members in parliament were not in favour with all its requirements.

Minority leader of parliament, Mr James Avedzi says minority is not moved by the actions of the ex President. He also added that all minority persons in parliament shall refuse to register until their concerns are addressed.

Meanwhile ex-President Rawlings has shared his views on the issuance of the Ghana card siding with the minority in parliament. He has thus called on the National Identification Authority(NIA) to discuss the concerns of the minority in parliament describing their case as very legitimate.
