The Electoral Commission (EC) is set to present the provisional voters register for public inspection, commencing on Friday, November 3, 2023, and concluding on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, in preparation for the District Level Elections (DLE).

This public exhibition will occur at all 38,622 polling stations nationwide, spanning from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the entire duration of the event.

The primary objective of this exhibition is to enable potential voters to cross-check their information, including their name, age, gender, and designated polling station, and to request any necessary corrections or inclusions.

Additionally, voters will have the opportunity to voice objections against the inclusion of unqualified individuals in the register or request the removal of the names of deceased persons. Deputy Chair of the EC, Samuel Tettey, made this announcement during a press conference held in Accra on Wednesday.

"As part of the Electoral Commission's preparations for the District Level Elections scheduled for November 19, 2023, the Commission will publicly display the provisional voters register at all 38,622 polling stations throughout the country. The provisional voters register will be simultaneously exhibited at all polling stations, serving as exhibition centers nationwide, from November 3rd to November 7th, 2023."

"The exhibition process will commence at 7 a.m. and conclude at 6 p.m. throughout the duration. The primary purpose of this exhibition is to enable prospective voters to verify their information, such as their name, age, gender, as recorded during the registration process, and to request any necessary amendments or additions. It will also assist voters in identifying their designated polling stations for the day of the election," he emphasized.
