Tax Stamp Policy to Yield GH 200 million Revenue




 The Tax Stamp Policy took off yesterday 1st March 2018 to serve as a medium to chalk revenue for government and guarantee the authenticity of all excisable goods produced in and brought into the country.

Although the policy was rebutted by most manufacturers, the policy according to government after a survey was going to yield about 20 to 25% increase on excise duties by the end of the year. The Chairman of the Tax Stamp Implementation policy Mr Akwasi Yankyera added that strict enforcement would lead to a yield of GH 200million in the next seven months.

Meanwhile the policy has taken effect and  is being implemented by the Ghana Revenue Authority giving all industries to employ the policy at least 3 months to comply.
