US Military Deal- Mahama Exposed!

The US military deal has faced several protest from Ghanaians, and also from opposition party the National Democratic Congress (NDC). The recent uproar in the Ghana has ignited a lot of demonstrations across the regions of Ghana.

Reports reaching Penplusbytes indicates that the idea to set up a military base for the US military was introduced by Ex President,John Dramani Mahama and the NDC administration. The NDC was said to have engaged in a secret agreement with the Americans in Stuttgart,Germany where the Americans signed their portion of the agreement and passed it on to their counterparts in Ghana. The deal was signed by the former Foreign Affairs Minister Hannah Tetteth without passing through parliament for approval.

Reports have indicated that aside it being signed by former President Rawlings in 1998,President Mahama latter enhanced the agreement in 2015.

Meanwhile Opposition to the military cooperation agreement between Ghana and the USA are yet to begin protest match in all regions of Ghana.
