High Court Orders 10 Days Ban on GFA

An Accra high court has ordered all officials of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to seize all manner of duties.

This follows a motion by the Attorney General Ms Gloria Akuffo to as part of governments efforts, restructure the GFA because of the recent corruption scandal that has hit the country.

The recent investigation by investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas and his tiger eye team revealed very top football officials including the President of the GFA Kwesi Nyantekyie engaging in corruption  acts that involved huge amounts of money.

Meanwhile, the 10 days ban also requires members and officials of the GFA to refrain from organizing matches and appointing any new officials.
