NPP Rebuts Incorruptible Claims by Ex President Mahama

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has rebutted all claims by Former President Mahama that suggest that he is incorruptible.

 Madam Joyce Bawah Mogtari, a personal spokesperson of President Mahama had earlier said that unlike Nana Akufo-Addo, Mr Mahama is incorruptible.

This came as a response to a petition written to the Special Prosecutor, Martin Amidu, calling for investigations into an allegation that John Mahama diverted funds for developments.

 Mrs Joyce Bawah also alleged that this was a quick act by the NPP to divert attention from their governments corrupt practices,instead of dealing with it. The NPP have viewed these comments by special aide as rude and uncalled for describing former President Mahama's administration as one that is synonymous to corruption.

Meanwhile the NPP have said that they find these words as the biggest joke of the century that will see every Ghanaian laughing.

Prof Mike Oquaye to lead NPP’s Vetting Committee

  The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has established a Vetting Committee to examine and approve potential presidential aspirants seeking to lead the party for the 2024 general election. The committee is expected to start work from July 3 to July 6, 2023.   As it stands now 11 presidential aspirants have picked nomination forms with only two filing as at Friday, June 16, 2023.  Alan Kwadwo Kyeremate, former Trade and Industry Minister was the first to file after paying GH¢300,000, followed by Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia on Friday.   According to Article 10(3)(F) of the NPP’s constitution, the Vetting Committee will include members chosen from different directorates of the party.   The committee consist of appointed statutory members, the Chairpersons of Standing Committees of the National Council, three members selected by the National Council, and representatives from other important sectors of the NPP.   Heading the Vetting Committee is Professor Mike Aaron...
