NPP flagbearership race: Alan, Bawumia and Kwadwo Poku to be vetted today


 The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Vetting Committee will start vetting presidential aspirants today, July 3. The first three aspirants to be vetted are former Trade Minister Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten, Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, and Kwadwo Poku.

On Tuesday, July 4, the committee will vet former Energy Minister Boakye Kyeremanteng Agyarko, former General Secretary Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, and MP for Assin Central, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong.

On Wednesday, July 5, Dr Kofi Konadu Apraku, former Agric Minister Dr Owusu Afriyie, and MP for Essikado-Ketan Constituency Joe Ghartey will be vetted.

The vetting process will conclude on Thursday with the vetting of former Mampong MP Francis Addai-Nimako.

The committee is chaired by former Speaker of Parliament Prof Mike Oquaye. Other members include Roads Minister Kwasi Amoako Atta, Stephen Abenkwa Sekyere, Osei Bonsu Amoah, Lord Oblittey Commey, Frank Davies, Rita Talata, Hackman Owusu-Agyeman, and Adelaide Ahwireng.
